Team Rubicon Global (TRG) is a non-profit organization that provides veterans around the world with opportunities to serve others in the wake of disasters. We do this by launching new Team Rubicons and providing core services to the entire TR network. TRG is a support organization that focuses on building capacity in the frontline organizations, the TRx’s (TR Australia, TR Canada, TR UK, TR USA, etc.). We are seeking a Director of Digital Media (DDM). The position reports directly to the President/COO, and works with the CEO. The DDM is responsible for developing, creating, managing, and aiding in the dissemination of digital media of all types across all platforms throughout the Team Rubicon network. Digital media consists of photo, video, and photo-graphic design elements intended to engage and educate our volunteer base, grassroots donors, and corporate partners & sponsors. The DDM must ensure that all digital media maintains consistency in quality, imagery, and delivery so as to keep our message clear, our audience engaged, and our brand identifiable and succinct.

Key responsibilities:

  • Establish digital media standards and strategies for TRx’s cohesive with the international brand and catered to each TRx’s audience.
  • Assist in the development of communications & media goals and strategies in line with goals of Development, Communications, Training, and Operations departmental goals.
  • Create media with proper TR tone, branding, and messaging, in a timely manner, within budget, utilizing production resources.
  • Create digital media SOGs for each TRx.
  • Manage high-level communications partnerships.
  • Provide third parties with content, including the composition of license agreements and custom media edits and compilations. Practice effective folder structure, archiving, and backup of all media.
  • Capture & produce media including editing & web compression of all photo/video content and occasional photo-based graphic elements.
  • Guide Communications Manager in assisting TRx’s with the development of TRxspecific content for distribution across social media and web platforms.
  • Support corporate & sponsor relationships to fulfill their media needs and promotional expectations.
  • Aid in the dissemination of media through any and all channels, be it social media, broadcast media, and/or third party requests.
  • Vet & develop network relationships in original and collaborative production.
  • Vet international photographers/videographers for TRx digital media coverage.
  • Maintain equipment inventory and accountability of all lighting, studio, photo & video gear.
  • Provide support and guidance for international digital media managers.
  • Insure that all media is in line with TR brand standards and messaging.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in communications/marketing/digital media
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, project management and documentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and thrive in a diverse team environment
  • Understanding of and/or first-hand experience with TR’s disaster response history and capabilities Required Skill Set
  • Proficiency is copywriting, video production/direction
  • Proficiency in 35mm photography and digital video production
  • Audio recording – location, studio
  • Filming – extreme environments with limited gear and power
