Modeled on the success of Team Rubicon USA, TRx is the Team Rubicon organization launched in countries where veteran need is high and ample opportunities exist to respond to natural disasters. Each TRx recruits, trains, equips, and deploys veteran volunteers. Each TRx is a nonprofit organization that exists as part of the Team Rubicon network.
Each market will have specialized capabilities that can be offered to other member organizations within the Team Rubicon network.
The TRg network is built to improve disaster response and veteran reintegration globally. No sharing = no learning.
TRg will have a role in seeding each TRX, but will not finance any TRX organization long-term. A primary responsibility of each TRX will be to secure and maintain long-term funding.
ETRx organizations are local, autonomous organizations that will add their own unique contribution to the Team Rubicon culture.
Each TRx must complement, not compete with other veterans service and disaster response organizations.
The reason we excel at disaster response is to facilitate reintegration for our veterans.
As Team Rubicon expands, it must adapt to local context. However, core elements will remain constant.
TRx organizations are powered by their members.
Steady engagement via service projects and training allow TRx organizations to build team cohesion between deployments and sharpen the skills needed when disasters strike.
SMALLER DISASTERS are often domestic and regional and occur more frequently.
MAJOR DISASTERS are more infrequent, but powerful enough that they may require specialist teams from multiple TRx organizations.
STEADY ENGAGEMENT happens via service projects, community building, and training - all of which are important ways to more consistently engage members, build the team between disasters, and be adequately prepared for disasters.
