General Sir Nick Parker (Ret.)
General Sir Nick Parker (Ret.) served in the UK Army for 40 years. He commanded the UK forces in Sierra Leone, undertook senior coalition appointments in Iraq and Afghanistan, commanded in Northern Ireland and, in 2012, led the UK Defence response to the London Olympics’ venue security crisis. He retired as the Commander in Chief of the Army. Since leaving he has reviewed the senior structure of the Police. He leads seminars at Pembroke College, Oxford. He is the Chair of the one of The Prince of Wales’ charities focused on young people volunteering to help others. He is a Director of the Invictus Games which will take place in London in September 2014.
