This week, I am pleased to welcome Dr. Greg Ciottone to our team as our Medical Director. Greg will be an incredible asset to our team as he is an internationally known disaster and emergency medicine expert.
Greg has devoted his career to field work, research and scholarly activities. Through his work, he has trained more than 50 disaster medicine fellows and has taught in more than 30 countries around the world. He is also an accomplished author, having penned more than 100 scholarly works, including the first and second editions of Ciottone’s Disaster Medicine.
As the current Director of the Division of Disaster Medicine and the Disaster Medicine Fellowship Program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an Instructor at Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health, he brings more than 25-years of experience in the field to our team.
As our Medical Director, he will develop the medical capabilities of the Team Rubicon Global network and provide critical advice to our leadership team. His exceptional skill, knowledge and passion in his field will only serve to further the mission of our organization to support and grow Team Rubicon country units who mobilize veterans around the globe and provide essential disaster relief services.
As CEO, one of my greatest privileges is building a world-class team, and this week we are thrilled that Greg will join us in our efforts to provide networks of veterans around the world with opportunities to serve others in the wake of disasters.
